Carnivore Flat Bread Recipe

Super simple carnivore and keto friendly flat bread recipe. Use in place of tortillas, crepes, pancakes.

Equipment

  • 1 Bowl
  • 1 Whisk
  • 1 Frypan or grill plate (see link in the notes below for the one I use)

Ingredients
  

  • 0.5 cup water
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 2 tbsp gelatin
  • 6 tbsp egg white powder
  • 1 whole egg 1 or 2 eggs
  • salt to taste

Instructions
 

  • Add the water into a bowl
  • Add gelatin
  • Mix to combine gelatin with water
  • Add egg white powder
  • Whisk until combined
  • Add one or two eggs
  • Whisk again well to combine. You should have a thick batter.
  • Add salt to taste
  • Heat a frying pan or grill plate and add a little butter or ghee
  • Add spoonfuls of the batter to the pan or plate, using the back of the spoon to spread the mixture until it reaches the required size and thickness
  • Once cooked on the first side, flip and cook on the other side
  • Place onto a plate lined with paper towel to absorb any moisture
  • Repeat until all batter has been used up

Note: Add sweetener if required (eg honey, erythritol, stevia or monkfruit)
